01Embedded systems
A live dashboard that turns CAN bus data into readable driver alerts, pit strategy, and post-run analysis for a competition solar car.
03Structures
A test-backed finite element model comparing layups for stiffness, mass, and failure margin.
04Propulsion + controls
A benchtop reaction-control demonstrator with closed-loop yaw control, solenoid valves, and live telemetry.
05Aerodynamics + Python
A constraint-based geometry study that reduced predicted induced drag through span and twist tuning.
06Structures + embedded
Mechanical integration lead for a student balloon payload flown to 92,000 feet and recovered intact.
02Controls + vision
A Python and ROS pipeline for detecting a moving landing pad and commanding a stable final approach.
Hands-on hardware
The drone-landing project started with studying vehicles like this one. NASA's Ingenuity engineering model — drag to orbit it, scroll to zoom, and tap the markers.
Coaxial rotors
Counter-rotating carbon-fiber blades spin ~2,500 RPM to bite Mars' thin air.
Solar panel
A single panel above the rotors recharges the batteries between flights.
Avionics box
Insulated fuselage keeps flight computers alive through −90 °C nights.
